What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate Marketing is a type of performance marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. (Wikipedia)

What has this to do with PlanSo Forms?

Imagine you are using PlanSo Forms for a lead-campaign where you offer external affiliates an incentive for directing traffic and leads to your forms. Once a referred user submits a form your affiliate should receive a commission. For this to work your affiliate management solution has to know that the lead (or sale in case you are using a payment form with PlanSo Forms Pro) has taken place. This is what the new PlanSo Forms Affiliate extension is used for. It will act as a bride to your existing solution and will tell that solution who referred the user and how much the lead/sale is worth.

This way you can increase the traffic to your forms by leveraging other people’s marketing expertise and pay them only if they drive real sales/leads.
